The World Begins With You…

“What a Wonderful World”, isn’t it?
I’ve beat the game. But I find that I still have some unanswered questions (although I’m collecting reports to find them out.) The repeated reference to Rhyme’s entry fee: what is it?? How Shiki returned on Day 7: Beat Chapter? (and also, how on earth did she not know that they were still in Underground Shibuya since she’s still in her “Eri” form. -_-) How to get a massive amount of Orichalcum?! D:< I want to shop, damn you.
Anyways, in regards to the end of the game and Joshua… being the Composer. What a cute little twist. :] It’s strange how the Composer wanted to destroy Shibuya at first, but later changed his mind thanks to Neku Sakuraba, rather than the Conductor, Megumi/Shades. (at least, that’s how I perceived it) In the end, he WAS Neku’s killer (but returned his life to him in the end – 3-) and you couldn’t help but get a sense of Deja Vu / “haven’t we been here before?” feeling when Neku says “You killed me!! D:<” again. Poor Joshua, that’s really all that Neku’s been saying to him since they’ve met.
I also thought it was cute that in the ending scene, Neku was “talking” to Joshua, saying “I still can’t forgive you yet… But I trust you.” and though I don’t like Joshua, I’m glad he was the Composer and not anyone stupid. Sneaky & manipulative people like Lelouch, Light, and Joshua = I love them with hate. ♥
This was a great game. C: I still love it. It’ll probably be one of the few games where I continue to play it after I beat it. It’s that good.… in my opinion. :]

@Tim: No, I highly doubt that there would be a sequel. The translators for TWEWY just changed the title at the end to reflect Neku’s change in life: from a negative outlook to a more brighter, positive perspective.
It’s a pity, because I think many fans would probably love a sequel. XD But what more could they possibly work on without screwing up on the plot as a whole?

I think there will be a prequel to this called the world begins with you and its about the begining of the Reapers Game

I really hope this doesn’t get a sequel. I was moved and touched at the little “The World Begins With You” screen at the end of the game… If there’s gotta be a sequel, I’d rather have a ’spiritual sequel’, using the game mechanics and whatnot… but not with Neku and the rest. The story’s way too good to be touched further upon. This is like great movie stuff, you know?? How many great franchises were screwed with horrible sequels?
One of my most favourite titles ever, with a beautiful twist at the end.

I REALLY hope theres a sequal of some sort. I would love to revisit TWEWY. Its one of the only games ive played where ive been motivated to find every single item and excesery. The end was great, and the last boss (Mr. H) Was challenging yet rewarding to beat. Gotta say, The World Ends With You was deffienetly the best game of 08. (In my opinion)

I agree with noname. I do want a sequel, but not with Neku and all the current characters. After all, Neku and company aren’t the only players. Maybe it could take place in another week, or in a different city. Although I would miss Shibuya.

Ok who ever wrote this post does not deserved to be called TWEWY fan, you know why? 1st at the 3rd week of the game Beat told Neku what Rhyme’s entry fee was and it was her memory same as Neku’s entry fee. 2nd Shiki doesn’t know she was in Underground Shibuya because she never seen it before, remember that it was blocked, and she was there because the final boss guy kept her in there for apparent reason I don’t know why because she was Neku’s entry fee for the 2nd week. Plus I think the makers can make a sequel for this trust me Japanese can do anything. I could think of one but that good. Maybe they could make all those previous bosses come to back to life i dont know how but somehow. All I’m saying is no one can predict what the makers will do with this F(fabulous) game.

Okay. Clarification: Beat was mistaken.
Rhyme didn’t lose all her memories, just the memories of her older brother. That was BEAT’S price for the game, his sister’s love. Rhyme’s REAL price was her dreams, hence why she was envious of Shiki during Week 1 Day 4. Gamefaqs has the script, check it out. :/
Yea, but Shiki should have realized that she was in the UG!Shibuya because she was STILL ERI. Shiki isn’t Eri in RG, y’know.
And there’s already confirmation of a sequel. :]

See, I just beat the game recently. And the last boss was hard as hell for me. >.> I kept getting bit, xD. Anyway. I didn’t know about the secret ending, so now I’m gonna have to go back and do that. x) SO. I would love a sequel, but I’m afraid they’d ruin it with Neku and the others, since there isn’t much left to do. I was kinda hoping for a New Game +, which we sorta got. But also, I was hoping for another story where you could play as Beat and Rhyme, since I loved their team work. But I guess that’s just me.

I just want one thing cleared up. Neku yells “What the hell!” as if hes in the game again, but Shiki is in her real body sooo . . . are they alive?

I love this game! My sister finished it a while ago, and she finally let me play it, and i love the secret ending! It is kind of confusing, but once you get the flow of everything, it will be a piece of cake!
